More Music

My music venture has finally ended in success!!

Finale Notepad wouldn't let me export to a midi or a wav or anything audible. So, I went and downloaded NoteWorthy Composer. Which, while I liked, didn't look as good on the screen as Notepad. Which was very frustrating for me. Luckily, LimeWire came to the rescue with an illegal copy of Finale 2004.

So I installed it this morning (11am), made sure I could export to an audio file, then began plugging away. The rest of my day was spent working on Kyrie Eleison.

It's done and it sounds wonderful.

I have wavs of the entire piece, just the vocal part, and just the piano part. The midis that I have don't sound as good, unfortunately, since the wavs are summat like 28 megs. But they sound so nice. The crescendoes and decrescendoes and ::drools::. The midis just have flat music. Oh, and the wav vocals sound more like real voices, whereas you can really tell that the midis are synthed.

Anyway. As soon as I find something to convert the wavs into mp3s, I'll put them up and post links. Cuz they sound so nice.

My parents paid for Finale 2002... and 2003.... and 2004. I should tell them to tell you to hook 'em up ;)

Well, I haven't tried to register it yet... so in 30 days when I do it might blow up in my face and end up with cops swarming down over my house and charging me 6023 frillion bucks for all the illegal stuff I have on my computer... :-P
