First Date
Sooooo today was me 'n' Jon's first date. 'Twas quite fun. :-) We got lost trying to find the mall. I mean, swear to the gods, we followed the directions he had, buuuuut... They definitely didn't bring us to the mall. In fact, they brought us back on the road I take to go to skool. Which definitely isn't near the mall. So we drove around Worcester for a while and finally stopped at a sketchy Texaco station for gas. And by sketchy, I mean it had the old skool gas pumps. Anyway, we asked the guy if he knew how to get to the Auburn Mall from there and was like, "Oh yeah. You go straight down that way and it's 2 or 3 lights down." So, we were pretty much headed in the right direction. So, yeah, we got to the mall and just kinda wandered around for a while. I mean, I wasn't hungry cuz I'm just not hungry lately. And Jon wasn't hungry cuz he "kinda mighta had a Whopper an hour or so ago". But only maybe. :-P I got a new CD. It's the "Jekyll and Hyde" soundtrack. :-) I'm all happy. Eventually, we just went and sat in the food court and talked. For, like, a long time. And by "talked" I mean, for the most part, he talked and I listened and learned. :-) I like it when I don't have to talk a lot. But yeah, so we shared a smoothie. And I had a slice of pizza and a maple crumble pretzel. And then I guess we wandered a bit more and decided it was time to go home. I really didn't want him to meet mum. I mean, if you guys have ever met her, you'd know why. She can come on... a little strong sometimes. Especially when she's meeting a boyfriend. And she's weird as hell and it scared some people. So, of course, I was worried like, "Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. Am I gonna have to do damage control after she meets him?" But she wanted to meet him, and I told him and he was like, "Okay." So when he dropped me off he came in. It went okay and all. Mum wasn't that bad. I went out to the car with him to make sure I didn't have to do damage control, and I guess I didn't. Which I'm glad of. And so he left and I went back inside. He didn't kiss me, I didn't kiss him. There was no mackin' at all. But oh well. :-) Anyway, Mum was sayin' some stuff when I went back in that was kinda upsetting. But me 'n' him talked about it and I'm all reassured now. :-) All in all, the day was awesome. But only because of the date. The rest of it sucked horse balls. |
