Trufax: X-Files was the first fandom that I discovered as a fandom (I used to be really into Star Trek as a kid, but that doesn't count because I never met other people who were into it), and the first fandom I wrote fic for.

And I still love it so fucking much.

and it's not really a shorthand, I guess, as much as it is a series of inside jokes and strange names for characters? For example, the alien bounty hunter is named Sven Svensonoffison, and Deep Throat is called Q, and there are various members of the consortium called Rickets and The Sherman Brothers and so on. IDEK. We had way more hilarious things that we came up with while watching, but tragically they were lost when my computer crashed. ;__; Basically we can talk about the X-Files and have no one else know what the hell we are talking about. \o/?
