Okay, so, I totally copped this from 1: Name: Erin 2. Age: 17 3. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? In college somewhere in Massachusetts or Rhode Island or Connecticut. Unless I've dropped out, in which case I shall be living in a cardboard box on the side of the road somewhere. 4. Which of the characters do you most relate to? I'm not really sure. I suppose I don't particularly relate to any of them. Maybe Hermione or Lupin. But... Eh. 5. Who is your favorite character from the books? Sirius Black. I loved him with all of my heart... 6. Who is your least favorite? Gilderoy Lockheart. Every time he appeared I wanted to seriously maim and wound him within an inch of his life. He is the most annoying character I ever came across. 7. What would you see when you look into the Mirror of Erised? I'm not sure... I suppose I don't really desire anything. I mean, I have a lot of stuff... 8. What would your boggart be? Something that chased me, since all of my nightmares involve me running from something. Either that or a rusty old ladle that talked. 9. Dark Magic: Tell us your thoughts. Is there such a thing? Or is magic only dark because of the motivation behind its use? I don't think there is such a thing. It's not the thing itself that is bad, but the motivation behind it. "Guns don't kill people, I kill people" and all. 10. On the same token, should the "Dark Arts" be studied directly or should Hogwarts continue to only teach the defensive magic used against them? Mmmm, I'm kinda torn about that. On the one hand, it would be useful to study them directly and, if nothing else, it would be interesting. But what with the moral fiber of some of the characters (or lack thereof) it might be wisest to keep the lesson plan focused on the defensive magic. 11. What is your favorite non-Harry Potter book? Quote something from it and tell us why you chose that line. Anything by Tolkein. "But do not despise the lore that has come down from distant years; for oft it may chance that old wives keep in memory word of things that once were needful for the wise to know." ~Celeborn I'm not sure why I love this quote, but I do. That general type of quote is what I remember from The Lord of the Rings and The Dark is Rising sagas. I guess it's because I've always believed that there's more truth in old wive's tales than what most people give credit to. After all, there must be a reason that they were told in the first place, something based on reality. 12. You overhear some students from one House plotting something to do to a group of students in another House. Neither of the groups contain students from your House. What do you do with the information and why? Depends on how dangerous it was. If, say, a group of people were going to, oh, I dunno... Entice an unpopular boy to go to a haunted shack where a werewolf stays on the full moon... I think I would tell the headmaster or something. But if it was just a harmless prank, well, I'd probably keep the knowledge to myself and go watch. 13. You are sitting in your house common room when you notice that another student has left a book lying on the table. You pick it up and realize it is their personal diary. What do you do? Oh read it. Definitely. Then go give it back before someone else can read it. 14. Would you use an Unforgivable Curse under any circumstances? Yeah, I would. If I could save someone I loved by using one of the Curses, I would. 15. Do you think Harry was right or wrong to use his cloak to get to Hogsmeade in the 3rd book? Well, in the views of society it was wrong. But I think it was right. It wasn't his fault that the Durselys are facist pigs and Dumbledore or McGonnagal should have recognized that and made a special case of him. 16. If you could eliminate one character from the HP universe, who would you choose and why? Lockheart. You have no idea how much I hate him. I mean, he wasn't even a good villain. I just hate him. 17. What's one thing you would do if you knew you would suffer no consequences from it? Steal a million dollars from a bank or something. That way I could live comfortably for the rest of my life. 18. Someone has graffitied a hateful remark about your House on one of the walls in the Great Hall. Luckily for you, you overhear a conversation between House elves who witnessed the perpetrator, and you alone know who did it. What do you do? Laugh it off and not tell anyone who did it. I mean, it's not like they said it to my face and were personally insulting me for being part of the House. So why should I care? Well, I might go do the same to their House... 19. Snape hates Harry by proxy James and treats Harry accordingly. Play Devil’s Advocate for us and justify this. I'm not the Devil's Advocate - I perfectly understand this. Harry is James' son. Clearly Snape wants revenge and to make James miserable. What better way to do this than to torment his son? Especially if Snape believes that somehow James will know what is goin on, even though he's dead. Besides, perhaps the same streak of meanness in James runs through Harry's veins. 20. What do you really think of Snape? Is he fair in the things he does? I like him. He's not fair, no. But he shows that stuff that happens to you isn't always fair and things that people do to you aren't always fair. It's just part of life. 21. Do you like the idea of a school being split into four separate houses? What about school unity? I do like the idea. It makes for a smaller base of people for you to know, thus a more tightnit community. The skool as a whole may not be as united, but each seperate House is. And when the skool is being threatened (or whatever) so is each individual House, thus they will fight back (or whatever) as if they're united. Besides, even without the Houses, it doesn't mean that it would have any skool unity. My old skool certainly had none. 22. Which are more important: Friends or Family? Friends. If you have true friends, they'll be there for you. Always. Whereas your family is just people you live with - they won't necessarily give you what you need. But your friends will. 23. Rate the following in order of importance to you, from least to greatest: family, love, fame, money, power. fame, family, power, money, love 24. Some people think the Weasley twins are funny, while others find them mean spirited. How do you feel, and why? They are hilarious. It's not like any of their pranks actually hurt anyone. Nor are they done in a mean-spirited manner (for the most part). Or maybe they are mean-spirited and I am too, which is why I find them amusing beyond belief... 25. When playing rock, paper, scissors, what do you usually deal? Depends on who I'm playing with. I try to pay attention to what the other person is dealing and figure out what they'll deal next and deal against that. I tend to start out with paper or rock, though. 26. IS all fair in love and war? I think so. 27. Do you consider a first impression to be the only impression a person can give? Why or why not? And if we refused to sort you, what would you do? Well, the first impression is sure as hell lasting. But it's not the only impression. I mean, if you get to know someone, your impression of them is almost certain to change from what you first thought. If you refuse to sort me I shall sulk for a while and curse you and your decendents. Then I'll get over it and move on to better things. 28. You've been asked to invent a new spell to be taught at Hogwarts. What is the name of the spell, what does it do, and what is the incantation? Hahahahahahaha. Awesome question. Name: AC Purpose: To physically cool down whoever utters it. Most useful on a hot summer's day in a place that has no air conditioning. Incantation: Gellidium! 29. Think about a negative past experience and tell us how it affected you. What did you learn from it? If you could go back and change it now, would you? Oh, I suppose it made me stronger as a person, made me stop trusting people, the like. I learned that people suck. I wouldn't go back and change it cuz it made me who I am and people seem to like me today. 30. If you happened across the Room of Requirement, what would you find? Jelly beans. Mounds and mounds of rootbeer jelly beans. 31. What would you be willing to die for? Not a whole hell of a lot. I guess my friends. If I had to die so that they could live, I suppose I would. 32. If you died, would you want to come back as a ghost? No. I prefer to go on to greener pastures where I can chill with all my other dead buddies. :-D 33. Finally, what house do you think you belong in? Interesting question. I'm not sure. I suppose Slytherin or Ravenclaw. Cuz, you know. |
