So, here's the thing. I have an internship right now, an intership that pays really good. If I put away half of my paycheck every month, I'll be able to live for six months without a job.

But, and here's the thing, right now while I'm employed, it doesn't seem like as of January 1 I'm going to be jobless again. Because I have a ton of money. Which leads me to doing stupid things, like finally upgrading the shit out of my desktop.

And then deciding fuck it, I might as well build an entire new desktop because this one's from friggin' 2000. idk if you know this, but 9 years old is fucking ancient in computer years. It's slowly breaking down and I'm just trying to ignore that, because it was the first computer that belonged to me and me along and, well. I love it. :(


First off, look at this sexy-ass case. That front panel opens to reveal 4!!! 5.25" bays. And inside, you guys, there's six 3.5" bays. SIX. THAT IS ENOUGH ROOM FOR 12 TB OF STORAGE SDJFAKL;JFKL;ADJSFLKJADSL;F HOW HOT IS THAT.

tbh, I forget why I chose this PSU. There was definitely a reason! Maybe the number of SATA connectors?

I will not lie, it was the 6 memory slots that made me choose this motherboard. IDEC that XP can't use that much memory. One day I'll upgrade the OS to something that can, and BAM.

I have heard awesome things about the this CPU. It better be as awesome as people tell me.

2GB of RAM is enough to start with, right? Right.

YOU GUYS I RAN OUT OF SPACE ON MY SURGE PROTECTOR. I CAN'T EVEN BELIEVE I HAVE THAT MUCH SHIT TO PLUG IN. So I threw in this surge protector.

Everything that's not on the list, I'm cannibalizing from the old MF. So, you know, sexy-ass setup with a shit-ass video card. AWESOME. And this entire setup came out to be less than $1000, which is pretty nice, I thought.


Now, when I'm dismantling this computer in 10 months and selling it for parts so I can pay rent for one more month, don't say "I told you so", all right?

Eek! Luckily my house isn't in the warning area! The area around my office is getting HAMMERED, though. It took me forever to drive to work today because there was so much standing water on the roads, and then I had to wade through 5 inches of water in the parking lot!

I understand, which is why I was also so vague! If you looked at my journal right now you could see my last entry, which is locked to around 10 people. That gives more detail. :P

LOLOLOL! All the dogs are doing good! A couple weeks ago I bought special stairs for them to get onto the bed, but only Mike will ever use them. Zombie!Dog is moar alive and active as ever! She follows me around and jumps into my lap when I'm eating to beg for food. She grosses Jay out, but you know I don't mind her. LOL. :D

I am seriously amazing that Zombie!Dog is still alive. She looked like she was half a step away from death when I was there. Which is just a testament to how awesomely you care for your dogs. :D :D :D

When you were visiting me last year, she was still eating that cruddy canned food. It always bothered me to feed her that crap. Months ago I started feeding her Eagle Pack Holistic for small dogs, soaking it in a bit of hot water to make it soft enough for her. It actually seems to have made her so much healthier. Her coat is very soft and shiny, and she literally runs around the house when I'm home. She doesn't even need Metacam anymore for her knees!

I'm pretty sure I'm going to switch over to EVO when they're done with this last bag. EVO doesn't have any grains in it at all! \o/

EVO is so awesome. *____* It's seriously the best pet food out there you can buy, IMO. I keep a bag of dog food and a bag of cat food in the pantry for emergencies.

I've heard a lot of good things about EVO! I know how careful you are about feeding your pets, so that makes me feel better about making the switch! <3
