My lung's doing that bubbly thing again

I had a brilliant idea in the shower, then I forgot it.

But that's okay, since I found this, which I probably wrote in the first day or two of the term:

Umm... yeah. It was pouring out this morning. Worcester roads are not cool to drive on after a couple hours of rain and melted snow. Damn hills and valleys...

Do you ever have a moment when you unwillingly step back and look at everything and realize it's all pointless? Writing in this is pointless, taking classes is pointless, working, living, sleeping, it's all pointless. You're just going to die in the end.

Blah.

So, yeah, let's jump the bandwagon pulled by dead horses and talk about classes.

Systems Programming Concepts (aka C++)
Well... my sister's learning C++, too. So it'll be interesting to see how long it takes my knowledge to surpass hers. The teacher looks like an Ewok and tells lots of little anecdotes. He's amusing, but the class is boring so far.

Two weeks in, and my assessment still stands. Boring as hell, but I have to go cuz yay quizzes. And such.

Calc III
My teacher speaks in accent-less English, so that's cool. Cuz I don't have to spend time translating the accent (fuck y'all, I don't hear accents well). But, well... I hate learning math. So, yeah... At leas it's fairly easy right now.

Once again, assessment still stands. Teacher's not that bad, but it's up 3 flights of stairs. So a lot of the time I just don't feel like going, you know?

Creative Writing
Oh, gods, don't get me started. The class itself seems awesome. The teacher is nice. But the poeple... ::stabinates::

A lot of them are pretentious. Don't get me wrong, pretentiousness is fine, even amusing, but not in a classroom. Save it for hanging around your friends or trying to impress girls/boys on your own time. I don't need to hear a 20-year-old trying to sound 32 and world-weary.

(BTW, I might change my mind after I've gotten used to not sleeping and stop being crabby.)

And then there's the group that are there just cuz it fit into their schedule. I'm sorry, but unless one of them does something spectacular, I'm going to hate all of htem indiscriminently. And I'm going to spell that word wrong.

Lastly, there's the ones that are just weird and annoying. But they can't be faulted for being dropped on their heads as babies.

Well, y'all read about them a couple posts ago. Safe to say, my assessment is DAAAAAAAAAA same.

:-) Okay, that's enough of me being whiny and Oh-Holier-Than-Thou.

you hate learning math?

What kind of a CS geekette are you to not like learning math? ;)

I very strange one! :-D

I love math, I just hatehatehate the idea of graduating/getting reamed out by parents/etc all rests upon whether or not I can memorize that the derivative of cosx is -sinx. ;-)
