Dead People Are Sad

Pathetic is when you're passing the time during a church event by thinking about what you're going to write about it in your LJ. Nothing like a funeral to make you realize everyone's mortality. First my parents are gonna die. Then my brother. Then some of my friends. Then I'll go, then the rest of my friends. Damn, I'm gonna plan out my wake/funeral now. And use another entry to tell y'all about it. ;-) It was a nice funeral. Ummmmm... but it was a funeral and there's not much to say about it. Since I didn't really know the woman, I had a hard time being properly respectful. Thus, don't go behind the cut if you get peeved by people making fun of Catholic... stuff... It is very. Very. VERY hard not to laugh when people are doing funky hand things and eating Christ Chex and passing the peace when all you can think about are quotes like, "It was Peace. Peace is when you would shake the hands of the people around you. And you knew peace was coming because the priest would say it five times rapid fire. He'd go, "My peace I leave, my peace I give to you. While we ate Reese's Pieces with the Lord. And I have a piece of lint in my peaceful EYE!"" The Catholic Church reminds me of the mafia. The priest-dude had his little minions that did his bidding. And, like, they ran up to hold his book for him when he needed to hold up both hands like he was a surgeon right before surgery and had just washed them and didn't want to touch anything for fear of GERMS. I tried to find a picture, but gave up. And the priest-dude was sorta bald and... I dunno. Just the way he talked made me go "Oh gods, it's a mafia don and he's gonna make as an offer none of us can refuse!" But, yeah. I hate church. I hate funerals.

Hahaha I don't go to church. Ever. And when I do (cuz we all know "Ever" doesn't really mean ever) it's the congregationalist one in good ol' Whitinsville.

But this one was a scary, FREEZING Catholic church in Worcester that's somewhere on a street off Main St.?

It's probably run by Salvatelli's cousins. :-D
