What got you interested in Computer Science? It was something I was good at. I've been doing "computer stuff" since I was 3-ish, and a lot of the floppies that my brother had for his AppleIIc were stuff like, "learn logo" or "learn BASIC", so I'd be going through those inbetween playing games his friends made. And then in high school, I took a bunch of programming classes and whizzed through them (except this year which I am effectively blocking from my memory. :-D). And CS is a broad enough label that if I decide programming isn't the shiznit anymore, there's plenty of other stuff that still deals with computers. Cuz computers are cool. Yeah. 2. Best Academy experience to date. Oooo, I'm torn between kayaking at Briarwood - which was certainly not the best while it was happening, but is possibly the best in retrospect - and my infomercial for Spanish class. One was cool and fun, one was "Day-um, I have sex-ay bullshitting skillz". 3. If you were a tree, what would your favorite color be? Puce 4. Who should play you in the movie based on your life? Some no-name actress. I wouldn't really want people associating me (you know, how when you hear "Erin Brokovich" you think "Julia Roberts") with any of the actresses that come to mind at the moment. 5. What's the deal with penguin in the socks and scarf? You know, you're the second person to ask me that in 24 hours. Sheesh! It's the Doubtful Guest*. Edward Gorey**, the guy who did the opening credits for Mystery! wrote and illustrated dark-humor "children's" books. Gorey is, by far, my favorite author and artist and The Doubtful Guest was the first Gorey book I ever read. And I saw someone had it as an icon, so I grabbed it. :-D *Sadly, the only link I could find only has two of the pages scanned in. But every page is illustrated and such. **In trying to find good links, I learned that Gorey is dead. That saddens me greatly.
