Some People Are Just Cool

So, I was thinking about my confirmation earlier today. That's right, Nire-the-heathen did the whole confirmation shebang. What can I say? When it comes to a fight that's going to make someone extremely upset, I'll just give in and do whatever it is that I really don't want to do. Not a big fan of making waves. Anyway, I was thinking about what a mad-cool guy the minister at the church was. He let me borrow a bunch of his CDs so I could copy them (Rush! String Cheese Incident! Flogging Molly!) and introduced me to a bunch of mad-cool P2P programs that I hadn't heard of before. He let me do whatever the hell I wanted during class, so long as I wasn't disrupting and arguing and traumatizing the two super-religious kids in the class. He gave me the background info that helped to spark the plot of my SISP. He let me keep the jokes and slightly sarcastic phrasing in the "w00t G-O-D is t3h r0xx0rz, man!" speech I had to give at the end. He gave me full credit on the final test because my answer to the only one I didn't know made him laugh (It's not my fault Seder looks like it's pronounced like the tree, is really pronounced like a goat-man, we had argued about the pronunciation a couple days before, and I didn't remember the real definition so I talked about that instead). Yeah. Very cool guy. And I should go do some of my CS homework now. Or something. Perhaps write an outline for my SISP presentation so I can make it last the whole fifteen minutes.
