It's kind of funny that I'm far more protective of my 40 buck handcrafted wooden flute that I bought at a RenFaire than I am of my uber expensive metal flute that was my first flute.

I drop the metal one on the floor: "Damn! Ah, well, one more dent won't hurt."

A kitten goes near the bag the wooden one's in: "AHHH STAY AWAY VILE BEAST! *swoops down to save my preccciousssss*"
