I was in the gorram grocery store yesterday picking up stuff for Tom's party-thing AND I FORGOT TO GRAB ME STUFF TO MAKE BUTTERBEER WITH! ARGH All I wanted is to taste the butterscotchy goodness of butterbeer because I am weird like that. But do I get to?? No!! FUCKNUTTERS! In other news, my hair still feels slimy. Yuck. In other other news, for people who don't have the cash to go get HBP now but still want to read it assoonaspossibleomg? I have what appears to be a legit pirated copy. Until I find someone to host it for me, leave me your email down there *points vaguely at comment area* and I'll email it to you. That is all.

How do you make butterbeer?

A pinch of faerie dust, a dash of pixie wings, and a whole lotta magic.

Or, like this:

1 oz butterscotch schnapps
8 oz cream soda

Stir together in a highball glass

or,

4 oz butterscotch syrup (ice cream topping)
8 oz club soda or cream soda
1.2 TBSP butter

Measure butterscotch and butter into a 2 cup (16 oz) glass. Microwave on high for 1 to 1½ minutes, or until syrup is bubbly and butter is completely incorporated. Stir and cool for 30 seconds, then slowly mix in club soda. Mixture will fizz quite a bit. Serve in two coffee mugs or small glasses.
