How old was I when I started dressing myself?
It's always interesting seeing Mum come back from some sort of clothing store with stuff in hand for me. It's well-intentioned, sure. The problem lies in that she wants to dress me like she would dress herself. And this is just a wee bit problematic, seeing how our 'styles' are almost polar opposites. Today she came back with a pastel-purple-and-hot-pink pair of pyjama bottoms with monkeys on them. ... Okay, let's ignore for a moment that, out of the six or seven pairs of bottoms I own, five or six of them came from the mens department. Even ignoring that, they're all - save that one other pair she bought me - dark colors. Two thirds of them are plaid. The only pair with stuff on it has candy canes and mints. No bright colors or butterflies or monkeys. In fact, how many light-colored anythings do I own? I'm not complaining about getting close, mind you. I just wish she'd stop picking out stuff that she'd want to wear and start getting stuff that I would want to wear. I like the way I dress, thankyouverymuch, even if she doesn't. |

But daaaamn they are just not. Like. Anything. I. Own.
Actually, I think they look like that pair of monkey PJs you used to (still do?) have. Unless that was Cat. But yeah.
