Gorramit. I just found all my notes and pieces and bits and bobs for Children of Darkness and Light.
These are the notes and pieces and bits and bobs I couldn't find to add to my SISP binder when it was due. Yeah. The ones I was freaking out over. It appears I had tucked them away in a book for safekeeping.

Oh well. This adds another chapter to what I have written. It also makes me want to find out more about the Watcher and delve into his backstory. I think I've come to the conclusion somewhere along the line that he's from this universe. The Watcher came from a similar-but-different background as one of Children's main characters, but turned out the complete opposite. He's like Arich's foil, except they're not in each other's stories. Maybe a passing reference? I know there's a city scene coming up somewhere and I could mention the Watcher in passing. A gratuitous reference in case I ever get famous.
I'm not sure whether this makes me want to work on Children a bit more or start the bit that's been niggling me about the Watcher. On the one hand, one is sort of happy and light and it all ends well. The other is... not so much so. It follows someone going from so high up to crashing to the bottom to a vengeful vigilante that's trying to clean up the streets in his own way in The Watcher. And, I mean, after that would clearly be a tale of lifting himself up by the bootstraps and such.
Issue being, I have the most ideas of where the bit before the short story is going to go. No clue where the bit after is, just a vague idea of what I want to happen.

Body fair. I'm going back to the story about the body fair. *nod*
