So, how did the bullshit turn out?

I skipped Fundamentals today to go talk to the head English advisor person. I told her that the head CS advisor person had sent me to her. Thankfully, she was more than willing to answer my questions because they were short questions:

Q: What classes does the typical English major freshman take? I have two open spots in my schedule for Spring, so what should I be taking.
A: Anything near the top of that list that I gave you.

Q: Do you by any chance know what I have to do to declare (or whatever it's called) a double major (or whatever the technical term for what I'm doing is)?
A: Take this form. Let me fill out these bits here... and sign it here... Now go get the head CS advisor to sign here, and these people to sign here. You can find one of the last two in this room [number and building].

So I went on my merry way. After my class with the head CS advisor (which I was late to, thank the gods Mike IMed me and was like, "Dude, he just called your name for attendance. WHERE ARE YOU?!"), I told him what the English advisor had said. So he signed. And! He happened to be the other of the second people. So now I need one more signature.

Then he told me that, most times, they didn't let freshmen declare anything and that I was probably wasting my time and would be told that I needed to get this all redone in the fall.

Um, what?

Bullshit I'm not. Unless they give me a damn good reason, I'm going down the registrar's office and bitching and moaning until they do it. I'm not going through this whole damn rigamarole come next fall. >(
