actually, the only time i use that phrase is when the pun wasn't intended, but rather an accident.

I'm honestly not sure how that makes it any better. In the slightest. It just changes it to "OO LOOKIT ME I JUST MADE AN ACCIDENTAL PUN HOW BOUT I DRAW ATTENTION TO IT!! THEN PEOPLE WHO DIDN'T NOTICE THE PUN WILL!! AND GROAN WITH DELIGHT AT MY INNATE SKILLZ! AND THE PEOPLE WHO DID WILL SEE HOW INTELLIGENT I AM! I NOTICE THE PUNS I MAKE!! R0X0R!!"
