The ten days between my birthday and Christmas morning used to pass so slowly. I'd wake up every morning and the day would absolutely crawl. by. It took aeons for Christmas to get here! And every moment, as crawling as it was, seemed to be filled with decking the halls and the Christmas tree, with baking cookies, with watching Christmas specials on TV. The halls haven't been decked this year. The tree is a fake. Mum made one batch of cookies and I haven't made any. And Christmas morning is almost here and I don't know where the time went. I think someone stole a few days in there somewhere. I can't believe it's going to be Christmas in only five days. It hasn't been long enough yet.

Up until now, I chalked it up to sleeping all day.

But damn, five days? It's even closer than I thought! I need to finish wrapping my pres-OMFG the cat just stole the stuffed animal I got my mum. Excuse me, I need to go thoroughly beat a small fluffy animal. ;-)

I just feel cheated 'cause I'm not at home. My mom's being awesome & waiting for me to get there before we package the candy & decorate the tree &c, but it's all going to have to happen in two days.
