Okay, this is going on a month late, but heres my run-down of Christmas. But not just any Christmas! Christmas in the dorm! With all of my wonderful friends. Have I ever mentioned how damned awesome they are? Holy crap. I can't believe the awesomeness of everything I got.
We had dinner first. The lot of us - me, Jess, Aly, Steve, Stacy, Tori, Dan, and Owen - scarfed down pizza and fries and mozzarella sticks. Then, we took the presents from under the broken-lighted tree, and we passed them around until everyone had a goodly pile in front of them. Jess and I had the biggest piles, because everyone loves us.
Round and round and round we went, opening one present at a time. Eventually, it was just Jess and I going back and forth, fighting over who would open their present last. I think we ended up doing them at the same time.
So! A loot list! First of all, Stacy got me a Lucky Charms box. Inside the box was...
... only marshmallows! She bought two boxes, picked out all the cereal, and combined the boxes! So I had about half a box of marshmallows sitting on my floor. Unfortunately, those went quickly. ;-)
She also got me an awesome out-of-print book: Michael Stewart's Prodigy. It's one of those child-genius-goes-bad books that I love, and apparently it's super-awesome. I can't wait to start reading it.
Jess got me "What's Eating Gilbert Grape", a Johnny Depp movie that I absolutely adore. I watched it and it was just as excellent as I remembered. She also got me some delicious Godiva truffles! Mm Mm Good!
Owen and I agreed not to get each other anything to cut down on costs and such.
Aly's present was wrapped in beautiful tin foil. Upon taking off the shiny stuff, I found the first two seasons of "Saved by the Bell"! Sweet! Five discs of stuff to watch!
Steve gifted me with the He-Man & She-Ra Christmas Special. Dear gods, I can not contain my glee! Also: He-Man looks pregnant in his Santa costume. Or he just ate a basketball. There's nothing else I can really say about that.
Then I got a joint present from Aly and Steve. It was a picture frame in the form of a bobble head monkey with Stacy's face in it. Because she is our pet monkey! Or, well, my pet monkey. I guess. It was quite cute.
Dan, thankfully, did not get me anything either. Very good because I didn't get anything for him.
But Tori did get me something! It was a card. And inside the card was a drawing of a yarn ball, a Cthulhu, and an IOU. Apparently, her cat destroyed it before she finished it off, but damn! Cthulhu! Kick-ass!
I love all of my new stuff. I love all of my friends even more. What a damn lucky person I am!
Oh, and Stacy got the room a box of Godiva chocolates and they are nummy (for the most part).
I love having Christmas twice a year. =D
