Obsessive? Me? DUH.

Posted some Batman vs. Superman meta early early this morning. Don't want to discuss how long it took to write and how long the break I took in the middle lasted, but suffice to say it's probably a bit choppy. I typed it on [livejournal.com profile] pezzonovante's Really Fucking Tiny laptop, so forgive any errors.

Can I say that the rabies episode of House still bugs me? A lot?

House is a detective show that I suck at. It's not like most shows or movies where, barely ten minutes in, I can tell you what the major twist is, or that Lodz killed him in the Astronomy Towers with the intubator.

So when I have the disease figured out 15 minutes into the show? You know it's really fucking easy. The woman had classic rabies symptoms. By the time she was exhibiting hydrophobia, I wanted to punch every doctor in that hospital.

Really. How many diseases present hydrophobia? How many diseases that you can catch in friggin' Jersey (or Pennsylvania; I forget where they are).

Anyways, just one of those things that really really bothered me about the first season of House. Sticking with rare diseases is an awesome idea, because it doesn't leave the writers and the characters looking stupid. Rabies? Not a rare disease. Fuck, you could've diagnosed that if you'd even heard about Old Yeller.

hahahah THIS BOTHERS ME SO MUCH.

Old Yeller?

Thanks for reminding me. Forty years on, I was just getting over that movie. Cheers.

*sobs in memory*

Mwahahahaha! [livejournal.com profile] the_wanlorn: Forcing you to relive childhood traumas since 2003.

Seriously, though. Who makes a movie for kids where the main character dies in the end? Nevermind where the main character goes nuts and is shot to death!
