Movie Ties

There's some sort of connection between Doctor Who and Black Books, I know there is. And it's all tied together by Shaun of the Dead. Observe.

In Black Books, we have:
Dylan Moran as Bernard Black in all of the episodes.
Tamsin Greig as Fran Katzenjammer in all of the episodes.
Simon Pegg as Evan in the episode "Manny Come Home"

Then in Shaun of the Dead, we have:
Simon Pegg as Shaun
Dylan Moran as David
Penelope Wilton as Barbara

FINALLY, in Doctor Who, we have:
Penelope Wilton as Harriet Jones in multiple episodes
Simon Pegg as The Editor in the episode "The Long Game"
Tamsin Greig as Nurse in the episode "The Long Game"

Do you see where I'm going with this? It has to mean something, but what?

It means that all three series will gradually merge and crossover until finally they become:

Doctor Shaun Black

Shaun Black poses as an ordinary surly bookseller, but he hides his secret identity: Time-travelling zombie fighter extraordinaire. His surly demeanor drives customers away so they never have a chance to reach the Shadow Shelf, wherein he hides his books that act as portals to other times and dimensions in which zombies have overrun humanity. Armed only with a Cricket Bat Of The Time LordsTM(patent pending), he wages an eternal one-man battle to preserve pubs everywhere from the ravaging hordes of the undead.

Also, in the fifth episode, he kicks Christopher Egccleston in the beanbag. And it's gooooooood.

Is it sad that I would so watch that?

It's ok, I'll respect you in the morning.

Now, if only we could get Dylan Moran into Doctor Who somehow, then everything would be spectacular!

Believe me, since the instant I realized that Simon and Tamsin were in that episode, I've been praying and praying that they'll hire Dylan for a part.

*<3s him so much!*
