LInkspam, as usual.

The very first link is a gorgeous YouTube video. And by "gorgeous" I mean "really fucking awesome". Beware, this video contains Lost spoilers, along with spoilers for HansoExposed.com. So if you're not all about the spoiling, do not click this link. It's more than six minutes long, but it's worth every second.

This link is utterly horrifying. During the evacuation of New Orleans, people were told to leave their pets behind. When boats were ferrying people out of where they'd gone for safety, like schools and churches and all of that, the people with pets were told to leave them behind.

They were told that the pets would be rescued separately.

They were lied to.

But these pets, mostly dogs, didn't die from starvation or dehydration. That would be bad enough, but semi-understandable. They were shot. They were shot in the back, the legs, everywhere but the head. Everywhere except the one place that would cause instant death.

These people lost everything. Jesus fucking christ, I thought that the horrifying aftermath of Katrina was over. That after all of the destruction and sorrow, it had turned to rebuilding. That I wasn't going to be reading shit that made me wonder when the next shuttle to Mars was anymore.

For fuck's sake.

I don't know how many of you have heard about This Film Is Not Yet Rated (IMDB link), but here's in interview with the guy behind it all. For my brethren in the HP fandom (you know which ones of you I'm talking to) he's basically [livejournal.com profile] charlottelennox. The MPAA is MsScribe. Except more like CC and Holy than like MsScribe. Fucking MPAA.

Keeping with the movies theme (and by theme I mean WTF am I talking about), here's and article that's basically a summation of all the inside dirt on Hollywood bigs. It's fascinating.

Right, back to watching The X-Files, swiping people in, and reading Dreamer. One of those things is incredibly boring, and it's not the one you think it is.

ETA: Pluto doesn't even have a name anymore. I don't know about you guys, but I'm still teaching my kids about Pluto. And calling it Pluto. Bitches.

Also, people are overcomplicating the short example in my Theories of Computation class right now. There's a time and a place for overcomplications, loves, and during class is not it. You are wasting my time and money by making the professor say "Well, yes, but for the purpose of this example, it doesn't matter." A THOUSAND AND ONE TIMES.

Son of ETA: This news article is so not on. What kind of fucking douchebag would "avenge" Irwin like this? Last I checked, he would be ripshit over people killing animals because of him. Stupid fuckers.

Grandson of ETA: This list is cute. It sort of memorializes Colin Thiele. Or, well, it's in memory of Colin Thiele. Whatever.
