I totally know what you mean. I'd be singing in small groups at Bard, and just be like, ugh. I am not the best alto here. I'm a damn good choral singer, but not really that good at soloing anymore. I'm the only person here not taking voice lessons. Even with voice lessons, my voice just has off days. God, I suck and I hate this. I'm going to practice by myself.
But for some reason, I always got really favourable reviews from people who knew what they were talking about. :D So! Sometimes sucky is just stupid I-think-I-am.
In general, my teacher is all pleased when I come in because I sound so good and I must've practiced forever! (haha I'm scamming you lady, I practiced yesterday for an hour and THAT'S IT) But, dude, I sound like poop compared to the people who're actual music majors.

Dude, once after I played my piece in a piano class teacher's all, "this is what comes of practice." and I was all yea and this is ALL that comes cuz I am never going to be able to get out of this cord!
