In Which Our Hero Walks Until Her Feet Fall Off

I've just got back from a 3 mile walk with the dog. We ventured all the way to Whole Foods (uphill) and the bank (downhill)! Only one of those was actually successful, being Sunday and all.

(Did you know it's Sunday? I did not!)

The dog, after chowing down a peanut butter-covered aspirin (LOL ARTHRITIC) has collapsed on the floor in a tired-but-gleeful manner. I, after drinking a glass of water, have collapsed on the floor in an exhausted-but-dying manner.

(The rat has taken to licking my arm in a yum-yum-salty-sweat manner.)

At Whole Foods, a little old man stared at me and Shabaka, utterly fascinated, as I tore of a hunk of turkey thigh with my bare hand and fed it to her. He continued to stare as I wiped my hand on my pants and closed the bag, then he left. I wonder what it was he had never seen before? A husky? A girl? Someone wiping raw meat juice on their pants?

The world will never know.
