In Which a 'Dirty Jobs' Marathon Eats My Brain

I just watched the salt mine episode of 'Dirty Jobs', and am now obsessing over licking one of the walls.

Why didn't anyone lick a wall? I mean, if you were surrounded by rock that was actually salt. Rock salt. If you were surrounded by this, would you or would you not lick the wall to see if it was salty?

The answer is, apparently, no if you work for 'Dirty Jobs'.

In other news, we're getting a new furnace! No longer will everything in this apartment be covered with a fine layer of soot! I am terribly excited.

That's exactly what I thought the first time I watched that episode. (And I'm not even a compulsive salt licker.) Ten should have been there -- he would've totally licked the wall.

God, where's the Doctor when you need him? Off gallivanting the universe with some pretty little thing at his side, I suspect.

I haven't seen that episode, but judging from other episodes, I wouldn't want to lick any place they go. However, the idea of being surrounded by walls of salt... well, yeah, I'd probably have to take a lick. I am internally conflicted on the issue.

Yeah, in general I'd think someone was crazy for licking anything anywhere near where they were filming.

But... walls of salt!
