The Incredible True (Mis)Adventures of Erin
This weekend I went down to Maryland to visit
So, to start with, somewhere between Framingham and the Connecticut border I lost my Sudoku book without ever leaving the car.
No, you read that right, really. I do Sudoku when the traffic's slow. I put down the book when traffic picked up around Framingham. I went to pick it up when traffic slowed down in Connecticut, and it was gone. Being the sensible sort that I am, I immediately pulled over and ripped apart the car looking for it, because my Sudoku D: D: D:
Why was the traffic slow? Well because there was an accident on the other side of route 15 that everyone on my side had to slow down and look at. (To be fair, there was a body on a stretcher and it was gross. Which is not to say I also slowed down to rubberneck, oh no, because I am above that.)
This is important to note because, two days later, as I'm making insanely good time coming home even though I took the long way around to avoid assraping by Delaware's tolls, I got stopped. On 15. By an accident. In the same exact spot. And so my awesome record time was ruined by some dumb fuck of a semi that got bent in the middle.
During the whole weekend, my nose was sniffly-stuffy-needing-of-a-tissue. And so I would rub it and sneeze and in general not use tissues because I couldn't find any. Sunday, just as I'm about to leave, I see a box of tissues on the coffee table. Literally right in front of me the whole weekend. :( :( :(
Plus, there was that time I was playing with
Oh, except how it was underneath one of my pillows the whole time. >:( >:( >:(
Anyway, as I'm sitting in my car in the traffic jam (linearity? What's that??), the dull ache that had been in my shoulder turned from a dull ache to a stabbing pain that went STAB STAB STABBITY STAB STABBITY STAB STAB STAB. And moving made it go STABBITY STAB STAB STAB. So I just cried a little and held my arm still. ;___;
This combined with the jam is just further proof that Connecticut is out to get me. I have never driven through that state without something bad happening, or it trying to keep me there forever and ever through strategic placement of torrential downpours. >:(
Eventually, though, I got home. And went the fuck to bed. And my shoulder still hurts lots and lots and lots and I expect that if I ever do bother to go to the emergency room, they will be all "lol fractured collarbone fatty" at me.
