SORT OF RELATED, kind of.

It makes no sense that Rodney wouldn't start saying zee-pee-em because hell, I only ever use zed IRL and it only took me two fucking episodes to slip into saying zeepeeem by accident. Like, if you're reading it makes sense that you'd fuck up because that's how it reads to you (SEE: FANTA'S HYSTERICAL ATTEMPT TO MARKET FANTA-Z OVER HERE ON BILLBOARDS ONLY TO HAVE A NATION CONFUSED ABOUT WTF FANTA-ZED MEANS. SERIOUSLY IT TOOK US MONTHS) but if you're surrounded by people fucking saying it all the time you're bound to start calling it that.

I'm kind of willing to forgive that because, I mean, it's pretty clear that the writers are dumb and I'm sure that sort of logic would be beyond them (NOT THAT I DON'T LOVE THE WRITERS, BECAUSE I DO, SO MUCH, IT'S JUST, YOU KNOW). And maybe Rodney is stubborn about being Canadian so he'd keep on saying it with a zed. BUT FANDOM HAS NO EXCUSE. LIKE, THIRTY SECONDS AFTER I POSTED THIS I WAS RECCED A FIC AND THE HEADER SAID, LIKE "Puddlejumpers & ZedPMs" AND I WANTED TO BEAT THE PERSON'S FACE IN.
