Housing Dilemna
Internets, I need help. First off, background info:
Month+ before school: "Hi, I'm bringing my rats!" "Cool, we're bringing booze!" "Cool."
Two days before I move in: "Yeah, we talked, and no rats." "Okay. Also, no booze." "...wot..." "*shrug*" "Fine."
School starts: "*brings booze*" "*brings rats*"
End of Semester: "We know you have rats. Get rid of them." "Okay. Get rid of your booze." "...wot..." "It's only fair."
New Semester Starts: "*brings booze*" "*brings rats and photographs booze*"
Obviously, rats = me, booze = roommates.
So, the question: Do I try to move off-campus right now?
Pros: Less stressful in the pet department. Also less stressful in the general living-with-people-I-hate department.
Cons: I'd still be paying for my room here at school, since the deadline for getting a refund has passed. Also, I'll probably have more stress come July when I'm not working a full-time job anymore.
That's what I got. What do you guys have?

What do your roommates have against rats, anyway? I just don't get how they would be inconvenienced by having them there.

I honestly don't know. I would say it's the thought of rats in the same apartment as them. Which I get, but dude, I keep them in my single bedroom and keep my door shut and locked at all times. The only reason that they knew I had rats at all was that I got a nasty cold and couldn't smell when I needed to clean their cages, so they started to be able to smell them.
Jesus my rats pee a lot. You're supposed to be able to go 5 days without the cage starting to smell bad like that, and I can't go 3.no subject
I don't even want to think of how much time I've spent cleaning litterboxes and steam cleaning furniture the cats decided to piss on when they were mad.no subject

Otherwise, if you can reasonably afford to lose the $ and really are unhappy, well, sometimes it's money well spent to be happy.
