Your Daily Dose of Angry
In the middle of discussing just how epic Luke/Jessica/Danny/Matt would be, I happened to click on a link to someone discussing Goodbye To Comics. And I'm going to link to here, not because of the entry itself (although it's a good entry), but because of the comments.
There is not one "INORITE?!?!" in the comments. Instead, there's a shitload of arguing with the author that she (it is a she, right?) is Wrong Wrong Wrong. An especially infuriating bit is one of the commenters claiming “If I do nice things for women, they will want to have sex with me. I do nice things for women, but they don’t want me; ergo, women are confused and don’t know what they want.” is not a misogynist statement.
Seriously.
And it's full of shit like that: butthurt comics fanboys getting butthurt that someone's pointing out their choice of reading isn't a paragon of feminism.
After all, the men are idealized too, you know.
The difference in the comments over here at The Beat is amazing.
And, you know, I was going to save this and post more links to it so I could get all my angry out in one place, but I'm tired and thirsty and have class in the morning and homework that I never did. So I'm going to go back to rereading Daredevil comics and leave you all to find angry-making stuff by yourself.
