6) No really

I don't think I'm supposed to walk away from this post thinking "OM NOM NOM CANDY"

But I am.

Sure, it's not perfect, but CANDY. :D?

It pretty much tastes right!! It's just... not fudgey.

[identity profile] onyx-noir.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Mmmmmm fudge.

[identity profile] shadowkitty.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
You freeze milk?

[identity profile] the-wanlorn.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 09:06 pm (UTC)(link)
HAVEN'T WE HAD THIS CONVERSATION BEFORE

[identity profile] shadowkitty.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Possibly. Although now it sounds like it would make an awesome ice lolly.

[identity profile] the-wanlorn.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
lololol I'm allergic to casein, there's less casein in goat milk, I like buying locally, so I get a share in a goat herd. Which means anywhere from 1 to 2 gallons of goat milk a week during the summer and fall, which is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than I can consume. Since I can't afford the stuff to make cheese, I freeze it!

I've discovered it's actually an excellent way to get the cream out of the goat milk. :D :D :D

[identity profile] shadowkitty.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)
See, I've milked goats, and ino exactly how often they pee in the bucket so I can't drink goats milk anymore.

...that is completely brilliant. I should do this! I use soy for my day to day but having real milk available would be A+!

[identity profile] maddeinin.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Freezing eggs is far more reasonable than freezing milk. Also, I WANT FUDGE NOW.

HOWEVER, I have tons of lulzy chocolates (STRAWBERRY-PEPPER, WTF IS RONG WITH YOU, SWISS PEOPLE) so I don't care.

P.S. do you want to watch this (http://www.jigsawlounge.co.uk/film/pearlsandpigs.html), this (http://www.variety.com/index.asp?layout=festivals&jump=review&id=2478&reviewid=VE1117933034&cs=1&p=0) or this (http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080717/REVIEWS/142529822/1023) with me sometime next week if I can find subtitles for you? I haven't seen any of them, so I have no idea how awful they are.

YOU ARE A BRAVE WOMAN. I will start with the Pigs and Pearls one, as it seems least like something that would make you want to slit your wrists. Also Jimi Pääkallo is a hilarious rl rock star.

When I was ten I tried making pancakes from scratch the first time . . . without a recipe. Even our dogs wouldn't eat them.

. . . I miss fudge ;__;

[identity profile] bribitribbit.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 10:44 pm (UTC)(link)
WHY DO YOU FREEZE MILK? It melts and turns all watery!

[identity profile] the-wanlorn.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
You just have to stir the cream back in!

[identity profile] the-wanlorn.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Also, I freeze it because I can't use it all up before it goes bad.

[identity profile] cornfields.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL OH BB. :(

BTW, I'VE FOUND THAT NONFAT DRY MILK WORKS JUST AS WELL AS NORMAL MILK, AND IT'S SUPER CHEAP! AND YOU ONLY MAKE WHAT YOU NEED! AND IT KEEPS FOREVER!

[identity profile] cornfields.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Shit. Once again, I forgot you're allergic to cow's milk. NEVARMIND. IGNORE ME.

[identity profile] the-wanlorn.livejournal.com 2008-11-30 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
lolololol I can get powdered goat milk, though! I actually have a tub of it in the freezer, because it's whole milk.

WHAT IS THIS PENUCH FUDGE OF WHICH YOU SPEAK

the great thing about fudge though is that somebody will always eat it. Always. This is why the entire Outer Banks still has a thriving tourist trade :D

[identity profile] the-wanlorn.livejournal.com 2008-12-01 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
It's fudge made of brown sugar!
