While you-all were busy making fun of me for having no common sense, I was busy building things.

Out of K'Nex.




You all remember K'Nex, right? They're like Erector sets mixed with legos and not as cool as either? Well, turns out they're useful for something.



And that something is building ball winders. This kind of took a while because the pictures in that blog entry aren't that clear, but it took shorter than a movie, so I guess I'm not too shit.



Look at this hank of yarn. I buy a lot of local yarns direct from the farm, so they don't come in nicely wound balls, ohhhhhhhh no. They come in prone-to-tangling hanks. :( It's too bad I don't have a yarn swift so I can wind it without it tangling.

Wait a minute...





Holy crap, now there'll be no more fighting with epic tangles! FUCK YEAH! AMERICA!



So I celebrated by winding a huge ball of yarn. No, seriously, let me put my toe in there so you have some reference for how huge it is.



HUGE. I didn't use the ball winder because, well, in order to work it needs a rubber band. Which I don't have. But I'll go scavange one from outside tomorrow! :D :D :D And then I can wind the other five million hanks of yarn I have sitting around here. AWESOME, RIGHT?
