Fucking clutz

Yesterday, while burying Malachi, I hit a soft spot in the woods and my ankle folded and I went sprawling. Later on, while I was playing fetch with Robin, he crashed into me and my ankle folded again and I went sprawling.

Not to bad. Happens all the time because I have weak ankles.

Except this time, my instep hurt a little bit afterwards. And it bruised. And started to swell.

Now, a bit more than 12 hours later, it's gone from hurting when I put weight on it but okay as long as I only walk on my heel to I can't walk.

Sonofabitch.

After my crazydoctor appointment at 11:30 I'm going to head off to the ER here and make someone deal with it, because a shitton of advil and wrapping it isn't helping.

Mostly, I just want them to give me crutches. :(

Yesterday sucked. And I wish I'd thought to grab the crutches in the attic (lol The Crutches in the Attic: the cripple version of Flowers in the Attic) (that was tasteless) so I wouldn't have to go to the hospital today.

I hate hospitals. :((((((((((((

Hey, [livejournal.com profile] havelock did that because he has adorably weak girly ankles by stepping on other people's feet while playing basketball! Sorry, but you're probably going to have to stay off it for like three or four weeks. Also they'll make you RENT YOUR OWN CRUTCHES >:(

[identity profile] the-wanlorn.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 01:30 pm (UTC)(link)
WHAT KING OF CRAZY WORLD IS THIS THAT YOU CAN'T GET FREE CRUTCHES ANYMORE :(((((

[identity profile] peavie.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 01:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I've always wanted cruches but I'm not clumsy enough to do anything serious enough to need them.

Some guy I knew got them once and he spent the whole week making jokes about his crutch and I didn't have the heart to tell him that's actually "crotch".

[identity profile] the-wanlorn.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 01:38 pm (UTC)(link)
lololol I would've lol'd at them anyway.

believe me, though, crutches aren't fun. :( I've broke my ankle before snowboarding and they're just a bitch all around.

I wonder what you did to piss him off so much.

I hope that if they do cut off your foot, you get an awesome Iron Man foot instead. Of course, in order to fly properly, you'd ahve to get the other foot done too, otherwise you'd just fly in circles adn that'd be silly.

[identity profile] the-wanlorn.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 03:08 pm (UTC)(link)
I think it's better!!! So I'm not going to the hospital anymore.

At least, it hurts less.

[identity profile] the-wanlorn.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Nah, not at all. Mr. ER Doctor proclaimed it a sprain after checking out the x-rays.

I wasted my afternoon finding that out, btw. >:( When I was sure that that's all it was anyway. >:(
