Day Two: 8 things that make me happy about editing

1. I get to read books before they come out.


2. And make those books better


3. Which means there are less terrible books out there


4. As a whole, the people I edit for write better than a lot of the shit I read anyway


5. It makes me feel special, even though for several of them I'm only one of like twenty people


6. My editing skills improve (SHUT UP I LIKE GETTING BETTER AT THINGS)


7. I get to be mean to people and they like it.


8. Everything that I'm editing is, at its core, amazing
