Need Help Editing Letter to the Dean
Is anyone who's around willing to edit this letter for me? I want to send it out within the next couple hours. I'm going to email it to the Dean, and CC it to myself, my two crazydoctors, and my mum for certain.
Should I also CC it to the associate dean and director of the undergrad school, the registrar, and financial aid? My mum seems to think I should, but IDK. ADVICE PLS.
ETA2: SENT. BRB KILLING MYSELF. GOD I HATE BEING A NUISANCE.
THANK YOU FLIST. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
ETA: Should I also CC it to the professor who noticed that I wasn't enrolled in his class anymore?

en event as major as being withdrawn
The 'en' should probably be 'an'.
I find it worrisome that it seems as though, if I'm no longer enrolled in school, the University still plans on keeping my money for the semester.
Try this instead: I find it worrisome that, in spite of being forcibly withdrawn from classes, the University still plans on keeping my money for the semester.
However, I felt that it would be best to send you an email, letting you know how disappointed I am in how the University is handling my situation.
Try this for maximum impact: I am also sending you this email to express, in writing, how disappointed I am at the manner in which the University is choosing to handle my situation.
Hope that helps a little, and again, I'm sorry for how much this situation blows chunks. *HUGS*
And yes, CC it to EVARYBODY.

Also maybe instead of "I plan on coming into the Dean's Office on Monday morning" say something more direct like "I will be at the Dean's Office Monday morning to speak to someone in person about this situation." Make it a little more forceful, not that you'll be thinking of it and hoping to speak to someone, but that you *will* be speaking to someone.
Best of luck!!!!

Also, the way you found out was wrong, but be more aggressive about the withdrawal! Point out the contradiction in the probationary period. Indicate that it appears they may have out you on probation only to have you enrolled long enough to keep your tuition. Something sounds shady, here. Make it clear that you are going to investigate it. I'm sure there are written regulations re: the point during the semester that they don't have to return any of your money if you are withdrawn.
I would think that, with an event as major as being withdrawn from the University, I would be informed by some way other than through my MyNEU account.
"It's not acceptable that with an event as important as this, the school and your office would fail to inform me personally." is far less passive. Put them on notice.

If you have money from financial aid, and you choose to withdraw, you'd have to send that money back. They would not be able to keep it. And if it's not financial aid money, if you or your parents paid that money, then it would be refunded to you, especially this early in the semester. The same should still hold if the college has forceably withdrawn you.
Definitely send it to the financial aid department and the registar.
*HUGS* I hope this all works out for you.

And definitely send it to the professor who noticed, and let you know.
