Blah

Once again, I'm a failure. At least it's not all that surprising to anyone, including myself.

I'm weaning myself down to the mega-tiny resolution (or should that be mega-large?) on my computer screen because I need more space on my desktop. See? I'm a packrat even with icons!

I forgot how soothing Gregorian Chants (that capitalization isn't right, I don't think) are. After downloading enough to make the RIAA shit its pants, I'll hopefully be able to sleep well tonight.

Christmas. We all know how much I love winter and Christmas, right? This year I'm being incredibly manic-depressive about the holiday. One moment, I'm excited and bubbly with holiday cheer and can't wait to clean up my room and decorate it and such. The next, the entire season is a huge disappointment and I feel out of place and removed from then cheer around me.

Reminds me of last Christmas...

Anyway, the kitchen has been pretty much totally transfered to the living room. I swear, if those workmen don't finish our freakin new kitchen by sometime before Christmas so I can do some hardcore baking during vacation I am going to FLIP OUT.

It's really weird seeing then fridge next to the piano, the microwave where the TV used to be, and no more sideboard.

If we don't have room for a tree by my birthday party I'm going to cry.

My cheek keeps twitching. Odd.

Jose sent me a bunch of wicked good songs today. That made me happy. I haven't really talked to anyone today and that makes me sad.

It's also freezing in my room, I think I failed my CS test, and I don't want to go to classes anymore.

skipping classes destroys your confidence when the next exam rolls around. trust me.

Yeah... I found that out today. I haven't gone to any classes (but I was doing the reading! Go me!) for 2 weeks or so and... Heh. :-D

[identity profile] piratezim.livejournal.com 2004-12-01 06:08 am (UTC)(link)
me too, but for more weeks, and because my chair sucked.

Now, now. You can't go blaming everything on your sucky chair!

IT HAD NO ASS, IT SCREWED UP MY SPINE AND TOTALLY RUINED MY DISPOSITION AND SAPPED MY ENERGY.

nire! be jubilant, christmas is a happy time.

i used to have a problem with icons too, then i just created a folder on my desktop called 'desktop' in which i put all my icons. much easier on the eyes.

and hahahaha, Gregorian Chanting Monks, thats so something i would listen to.

Sometimes it's happy, and sometimes it's not. :-D

But, see, once they go into a folder, I forget about them. Especially when the folder's on the desktop. ::shrug::

Yeah, you totally would. :-D

actually, my dad has a CD of them and so i used to listen all the time on the way to school. them and sarah brightman and carl orff and choir music... my sister hated it but i enjoyed it. offbeat is cool lol.

I recommend any chant sequence composed by Hildegard von Bingen... Especially "Columba Aspexit." Try the Sheila Chandra version then try a classical version for some interesting comparisons.

Jose never says hi to me anymore! *tear*

I used to think I was super sophisticated with my Sarah Brightman music but then I realized she's sort of pseudoclassical, pseudo-operatic... I like her voice, but I think deep down she's a pop singer from Hot Gossip dressed up as a world-class vocalist.

then don't go. It's easy!
