I ONLY READ THE FIRST TWO PAGES OF COMMENTS BUT OH MY GOD shadowkitty had to make me stop reading because I was getting so pissed off like THAT IS NOT ID WHAT ARE YOU EVEN TALKING ABOUT YOU WOULDN'T KNOW IDFIC IF IT HIT YOU IN THE FACE LIKE I AM ABOUT TO DO.

I definitely get the sense that people have trouble differentiating between idfic, bulletproof kinks and just plain kinks in general. They're related but they're not the same. Like I'm not at all embarrassed by my love of the BFFs turned mortal enemies trope but I am kind of embarrassed by my fondness of the Anne Bishop Black Jewels books because OMG SO MANY ISSUES. And yet it's got superpowered people! (Supposedly) scary women! Canonically messed up sexual dynamics! Women in control of totally lethal serial killers! So even while I'm facepalming all over the place, I still like it.

YYYYYYYY exactly! And, really, this meme that I just posted is more of a bulletproof kinks meme, the way people are responding, which I am totally okay with.

But, pretty much all of the fic that I write is ridiculous idfic and, idk. LIKE the line between idfic and bulletproof kinks always seems really, clearly defined to me, so when other people have a different definition or are wishywashy about calling something idfic (or, god forbid, act like writing idfic is a bad thing or something to be super embarrassed about wtaf), I'm just like "WHAT NO WHYYYY THIS IS LIKE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CUSTARD AND PUDDING IT IS NOT HARD YOU GUYS :("
