There was going to be a long rant here about how much I utterly despise fandom, and how I sometimes forget that and venture into the wilds of fandom (or read posts on my flist in specific fandoms after I've sworn never to read that flister talking about that fandom again), and how people who don't X or people who Y should get the fuck off my flist-

-but fuck that. This (current) bullshit is not a surprise. This bullshit is nothing more than what I expected. And I'm not going to give it the time and mental effort it takes to write up a coherent post on why your-opinions-are-bad-and-you-should-feel-bad just so people who do comment can go "They're just my preferences" or "Well, yeah, I think that, but I'm not a horrible person/it's not a problem for me" or any of that bullshit that results in my defriending and ban_setting people and trying to burn down fandom with my brain.

I would say that I didn't know how I survived for 23 years without a purse, except I still carry all my important stuff in my pockets and don't bring my purse with me unless I'm gonna be somewhere for an extended period of time (ie, school, my parents', etc. To the store, not so much.)

SECOND OFF, AND MORE IMPORTANTLY. You guys, it's like. A thousand degrees here. (No, seriously. The actual temp topped out at around 91F, and the RealFeel topped out around 100F. I seriously thought that I was going to die.

So I did the smart thing, and spent a large portion of the day cleaning while mona watched Legend of the Seeker on my couch. And then she went home and I made bagels.

Because clearly, the thing to do when it's sweltering hot, is heat up the house even more by boiling water and running the oven. :| And then because the oven was already on, I took out the pizza dough that's been sitting in the fridge for... twoiish weeks? Maybe three? And made pizza to see if it was still good. (Yes, yes it was.) AND THEN. THEN I ATE DINNER. AT MY KITCHEN TABLE. FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE I MOVED HERE.

I WAS LIKE A REAL ADULT.

Now I'm, you know. Eating cornbread in bed while I watch TV and try to decide if that rattly noise is just a rattly noise, or if it's a fly stuck in my window that needs killing. But whatever.

I still need to clean my bedroom and the bathroom, and do one more surface clean of the kitchen, so that I can be all ":D? :D? LOOK AT HOW CLEAN MY APARTMENT IS :D? :D?" at soleta and kate. But I am hoping I can get that done tomorrow while mona is here (apparently I get shit done better when there's someone around temporarily for me to ignore, because I am a terrible person I AM FAIRLY SURE SHE DOES NOT MIND THOUGH SO I AM NOT A TERRIBLE TERRIBLE PERSON) so the only thing I have to do on Thursday morning is take the animals to the dog and the cat to the vet because Robin needs shots and Lacey's eyes are acting up again.

So I have to haul my carcass and the dog down there sometime soon, so that I have time to take a shower there before everyone gets back from baccalaureate (wtf is that, anyway?). It feels fucking weird not to be ending this post with a poem, after a month of doing so. And oh my fucking god how is it already almost 2PM? Jesus I have so much laundry and cleaning to do. D:

I just got back from taking my first final of the semester, and I think I did fairly okay. Which goes a long way to counteract the leftover anger from staying up until 2:30 to finish the paper that was also due in that class today. (Now I'm just left with the grumpiness of staying up another two hours because I didn't feel like sleeping and then I had to organize my GoogleDocs.)

Not only did I reward myself with pizza on the way home, I also figured out the bit of the fic that I'm sticking on, no thanks to the billions of people I've gone "Guys I am stuck" to who couldn't understand what I was stuck on. GUYS. SERIOUSLY. STOP OVERTHINKING HOW DUMB I AM. I REALLY AM THAT DUMB. JESUS.

Internet, there are 351 towns/cities in Massachusetts, and 159 CDPs. What are the odds that I would move from one CDP to another?

Well. Not as slim as I thought before I went and looked up how many there were.

So, after leaving Cowtown, I tried the Boston thing for a while, and the Somerville thing, and the Brighton thing, and the Somerville thing again, and then I threw my hands in the air and said "FUCK THIS SHIT" and moved way out of the city. And, you know what, internet? This is the first time in five years that I've lived in one place for over a year, and have no intentions of moving for as long as I have money to pay rent and am still in school.

And yet, I still haven't given this place a nickname. I mean, Cowtown was easy. There are fucking cows. Everywhere. This place? Not so much. It's richer than Cowtown and has more people in a smaller space than Cowtown and I've been basically assuming that I'm going to have to move at the drop of a hat so I haven't been exactly super excited about exploring the town.

Today I had my first seafood dinner of the season because it is my sister's birthday and she always goes to the little shack for lunch on her birthday and I ate all the fried shrimp and fried clam strips and clam fritters in the world. I feel kinda sick now, but I'm not sorry.

Today was the day to sign up for classes! And I planned to get up at 6am so I could get to the registrar as soon as it opened and sign up. Except, apparently, at 6am, I got up long enough to take my meds and then decided sleep was more important than getting into classes before they got all full up.

And then I woke up in a panic at 8am because I have a doctor's appointment this week and I was going to be late and oh god oh god oh god. Except. Today is not Friday. Good job, self. THEN I WENT BACK TO SLEEP AGAIN BECAUSE I AM DUMB.

Anyway, I eventually got to the registrar, freaking out because one class only had three seats left, and I didn't have the "Yes this person has taken the prereqs" form for one of the classes (I needed one for every single class because of the transfer credits fuckery). BUT! I only had to wait in line for an hour! And not only did I get into all the classes, the lady was willing to take the email the dean of the math department sent back in September as proof that I had taken the prereqs for that one class! WOOOOOOO.

Now I am just freaking out because I'm taking three CS courses, a math course, and a physics course, and internet that is a lot of work and I am really bad at school and oh god what if I fuck up again. D: D: D: D: D: D:
