Last night, I couldn't remember if I posted a post that day or not, so I was sitting here at 10PM going "THINK, SELF. THINK OF SOMETHING TO SAY. COME ON, MAYBE YOU CAN TALK ABOUT LOS- oh, right."
Man, my laptop hasn't overheated once since I took it apart to clean out the fan. :( I am the worst laptop mommy. Not even when I spent a while clipping all the Chuck Finley bits of Burn Notice that I had the patience to go through. FYI INTERNET I AM STILL COMPLETELY IN LOVE WITH THE... MAN? CONCEPT? Write a fic called "Five Things Chuck Finley Didn't Do (And One He Did)" Y/Y?
I keep thinking that I want to apply to Google's Summer of Code thing, except I am stopped every time I start poking at an application by "Well they're not going to pick you anyway, so why bother?" Why am I so crazy? So, you know, looks like I'm not going to be bothering.
Today I am going to actually get up and find the CDs I want to listen to instead of desperately trying to find torrents because I'm too lazy to dig out my external drive. SPEAKING OF MUSIC does anyone have Russell Gunn's "The Concept"? I have to write a paper on it and while, theoretically, we will be able to get enough out of the professor playing it in class, I would feel better if I had a copy I could poke at at home where I can actually concentrate on what's going on in it, and my prof just gave me a "..." look when I asked if I could get a copy of the song. DUDE, RIPPING AN MP3 AND EMAILING IT IS NOT DIFFICULT. IF I HAD A LAPTOP WITH A WORKING CD DRIVE I WOULD EVEN DO IT IN CLASS.
Okay, back to read more Dresden Files. And thinking about Lost. Oh self. :(

So, yesterday,
brianne came over and we stuffed ourselves at Friendlys, made >:( faces about fandom a lot, and watched a shitload of skating stuff. All in all, a totally awesome day. :D
Then,
shadowkitty and I watched Lost and, man. I was bored through most of the ep. Plus, the dialogue during the flashsideways was horrible. I couldn't even enjoy the buddy cop bits because it was so stilted and awkward and awful. D: D: D:
AND THEN INTERNET. AND THEN we put on "The 12 Step Job" because it's my favorite fucking episode in the entire god damn world. And my laptop overheated and crashed, which it does something like once a day. So while I was waiting for it to cool down enough to turn back on, I decided to attack the fan with my canned air to clean out some of the cat hair that was undoubtedly lodged in there.
And then. And then. I turned my laptop on, and under five minutes later it crashed again. And I did it again. And again. And again. And then I raged around for a while because I either broke my god damn fan or fucking jammed it somehow. And it was fucking 11pm and I wanted to watch Leverage and I couldn't because I had to fucking take apart my god damn computer and figure out what the fuck was wrong with it.
So I fucking did, and internet, let me tell you, I could not possibly hate Toshiba more than I already do. I can take apart a Dell laptop with my eyes closed in under five minutes because it's simple and straightforward. Take out all the removable parts, pop the button board cover, remove the keyboard and screen and internal screws, unhook everything, flip over and unscrew everything, pop it open, done. FIVE MINUTES, TOPS. It took me an entire fucking hour to take apart this fucking laptop. It was like,
And I was too angry at the world to go back to sleep.
SO THAT WAS MY DAY YESTERDAY, HOW WAS YOURS?
Also, I've done all that I'm going to do of the ship meme! (READ: FUCK YOU EPON I AM NOT GOING TO DO THOSE TWO EVER >:( ) Here are Harley/Ivy, Aeryn/Crichton, Jessica Jones/Luke Cage, Parker/Hardison/Eliot, Ben/Sofie and Ben/Sofie 2, Tim/Julie, ladySmoker/ladyHunter, and Ben/Juliet and Ben/Juliet 2.

FIVE MINUTES, TOPS. It took me an entire fucking hour to take apart this fucking laptop. It was like,
"Take out all removable parts which takes forever because the cover of the DVD drive is fucking stuck so it won't pop out, fight to pop off the button board cover because the hooks that go over the laptop hinges are fucking jammed, remove keyboard and internal screws, try to remove the screen except I can't because the fucking laptop repair place I took it didn't make sure the screws were threading properly so they were fucking jammed, say fuck it and unhook everything, flip over and unscrew all screws (and realize that half of them are missing because of the fucking laptop repair place again), try to separate the pieces, realize you missed a screw and figure out the general location, remove the button board, that doesn't help, finally realize that the ROBSON module and the wireless card are attached to the fucking casing so I have to remove them, finally get everything opened and take out the motherboard."INTERNET, I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO MURDER SOMETHING. IT TOOK A GOD DAMN HOUR. And it turned out that yes, I had managed to jam the fan by blowing two huge clumps of cat hair right into the perfect place to jam the fucking fan. By the time I had everything put back together and decided to stop trying to figure out where the extra screws went (seriously, I have a massive collection of laptop screws because I always forget to screw something back in) it was 12:30 in the fucking morning.
And I was too angry at the world to go back to sleep.
