Fuck yeah, internet! The Fandom Appreciation Challenge has rolled around again! :D

DAY 1: Rec 3 challenge stories or fanworks in your journal.

This was shockingly difficult, because I don't mark fic on my delicious was being from a challenge. I should really rectify that. I am trying to avoid popular fandoms (uh, for a given value of popular, because let's face it, while I read a shit load of fic in popular fandoms, it's nothing I'd rec, and for the less popular fandoms that I'd rec stuff from, it's still not fair because there are still a lot of people in those fandoms comparitively and I totally lost my train of thought here.)

Friend is Four Letter Word by tokenblkgirl (Being Human, Annie/George/Mitchell, NC17). Written for Porn Battle IX.
I really like tokenblkgirl's Being Human fic! This one is great, with just the right amount of "this is such a horrible idea D:" from George, and Annie and Mitchell laughing at him, and there's a lot of banter, and it's just a great fic.

Lovelace and Babbage vs. The Christmas Death Spider From Beyond The Atlantic by nextian (The Thrilling Adventures of Lovelace and Babbage, gen, G). Written for Yuletide '09.
The Thrilling Adventures of Lovelace and Babbage is fucking hilarious, and so is this fic. It manages to capture the non-dialogue elements of the comic perfectly, and involves Andrew Jackson riding a giant mechanical death spider. Also, Brunel is in it. And the Queen. Seriously. Fucking hilarious.

Silly Love Songs by athousandwinds (Singin' in the Rain, Don/Cosmo/Kathy, NC17). Written for Porn Battle VIII
The end is what makes this fic for me. Seriously, athousandwinds wrote my favorite favorite favorite trope(?) for OT3s where two of them were already a couple. It's an adorable fic, one that I didn't even realize that I desperately wanted until I read it.

I JUST ERASED AN ENTIRE ENTRY ABOUT HOW PORN, TONY/PEPPER, F/F/F THREESOMES, AND HOW MUCH OF AN ATTENTION WHORE I AM.

Thankfully, I saved you from it by deleting it.

I kind of want to write some barebones meta on why I love threesomes, but despise M/F/F. But, in a lolarious turn because I mock mona for this all the time, I don't want to insult my flist. Especially since one of my friends recs me M/F/F all the time because she thinks that's what I like.
